Running out of time for your health...
By Agatha Farmer from Madjam Fitness
"I'm too busy during the week to fit in a class" is a statement I have heard over and over in my line of work. At MadJam Fitness we exclusively train women while providing a safe and comfortable atmosphere in our classes. While we can train women, and help them with nutrition and diet concerns and questions, we can't help them find time to fit a class into their overloaded schedules.
As mothers, wives, daughters, caretakers, cleaners, laundry doer's, chauffeur's, party planners we are continuously bombarded with tasks we must accomplish on this imaginary "to do" list or else the universe won't rotate as it should. As a self-professed control freak I understand the need to accomplish and then re-start that list every week, but there's something important missing.
We so often forget to allocate two or three hours during the week for just ourselves, our health, our beauty, our "me time" to centre yourself, to release your positive endorphins to help you gain balance in your life.
We buy countless wrinkle creams, under eye potions, cellulite creams, and thousands of other beauty products. All those creams won't hold off Father Time, but experts tell us that regular exercise, drinking water and eating a healthy, balanced diet will.
Ladies, we all want to look as young as possible for as long as possible as we age, but the only anti-aging agent that will help you stay radiant is exercise and a healthy lifestyle. If cellulite creams really worked none of us would have it. But, the truth is that approximately 80 percent of women have cellulite (as do the Victoria Secret models), but once again exercise and muscle toning will aid in reducing it.
Out of an entire week of seven days, everyone has time to set aside two or three hours for your health and the health of your family. After all, a happy wife and mother who feels good about herself makes for a happy, healthy family!
